Videos to promote sustainable agriculture practices implemented in Puerto Rico, sponsored by the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SARE). This summary traces the history of coffee in Puerto Rico and presents sustainable practices for the crop that balance social, environmental, and economic needs. It covers shade-grown systems, living cover crops, drip irrigation, diversification with bananas and other species, and direct marketing through fair-trade channels to reduce climate vulnerability and improve farmer livelihoods.
